23.05.2011- I'm just flabbergasted

Hi guys, sorry I didn't get to post anything over the weekend, that's because I went on a trip with some friends and I didn't have the time to stop and post anything.

Well, it seams that the world didn't end and everyone is flabbergasted. Harold Camping, the 89-years-old  uncertified fundamentalist minister said that he is still looking for answers on why the world didn't end on may 21st. Personally I think that he's just trying to gather some attention on himself before he dies. Yes, the world is going to end, but we don't know when, and we can't find out so don't try to make predictions, because you're bound to fail.

Also, on a side note, Dominique Strauss-Kahn's sperm has been found on the maid's clothes. This is far worse than his DNA being found on the floor or on a carpet. It seams that Strauss-Kahn will stay the rest of his life in jail if he is found guilty, but as a living classic would say: "The jizz doesn't lie".

 'Till next time take care.

19.05.11 - Finally

Finally, Dominic Strauss-Kahn has stepped down as the head of the IMF, I thought he'd never do it. On the other side he's being released on bail. The bail was set at $1 million and he will be detained at his residence with 24h surveillance. Because he stepped down from his position there's now a constant debate on who is going to replace him but the big favorite it seams is the French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde. John Lipsky, the Fund's number two is acting managing director until the IMF executive board selects a successor to Strauss-Kahn.

And a comic strip based on Doctor Who:

18.05.11- Don't yell when you're on the phone

The first thing that mattered to me today is the fate of the loud cell-phone talker lady. Lakeysha Beard apparently talked on the cell-phone for 16 hours, from Oakland, California to Salem, Oregon where she was escorted off the train by the police after she became "aggressive" when another passanger confronted her. Even Gawker suggested that the cops who removed Beard from the train were heroes, and that Beard should be charged with "unspeakable crimes against humanity and sentenced to life on some distant planet where there are no reception bars, ever.", and I personally agree with them, I think that people who can't refrain from using their cell-phones everywhere shouldn't be allowed to use them at all.

Dominic Strauss-Kahn is in the news again with another development in the case against him. It seams that the investigators are using a piece of carpet from the hotel room in which the IMF head was staying to create a forensic trail of what happened in that room. The piece of carpet was cut from a spot where the maid spit after being forced to have oral sex with Strauss-Kahn. If the piece of carpet has any of Strauss-Kahn's semen on it, this could be a huge breakthrough in this case and it would be the evidence that would backup the charges. In another series of events the pressure mounts for Strauss-Kahn to step down as the head of the IMF, a thing which I hope he will do ASAP.

In the end I just want to share with you one of my favorite songs: Panic at the Disco - Mona Lisa .

'Till next time take care and remember to always use protection.

17.05.11- The Things That Mattered

Okay, let's get this started:

The first thing that mattered to me in the news today is this: Dominique Strauss-Kahn the head of the IMF is still in jail after being accused for attempted rape. Strauss-Kahn was arrested on Saturday at the Kennedy Airport and taken into custody. There are many speculations about his future considering that he was considered the strongest counter-candidate for the actual president Nicolas Sarkozy, but the general opinion is that after this scandal Sarkozy is going to win the elections once again. Also, many people think that he should step down from his position as the head of the IMF because he in damaging the institutions reputation. It seams that Strauss-Kahn even went as far as forcing the maid who he assaulted to perform oral sex which is a very serious offense and he could even get a sentence of 15 years. As for me I would just cut his weiner off, I think this is the only suitable punishment for people who do such things.

The second thing that mattered to me is that Stephen Hawking is again taking the headlines with the "surprising" affirmation that afterlife is a fairy tale for people who fear the dark. When asked if he fears death he said:
I have lived with the prospect of an early death for the last 49 years. I'm not afraid of death, but I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first. I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.
I'm just not going to comment on this one because everyman has the liberty to think whatever he likes.

The third thing that mattered to me is short but surprising: Don Gorske from Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin is getting ready to eat his 25.000th Big Mac on the 39th anniversary of eating his first. He said that on his first day he ate 9 and he eats 2 everyday and has only missed 9 days since then. One would think that you can't survive such a calorie fest but mister Gorske did and he looks just fine for his 57 years of age. He said that he recently saw a doctor who said he was in good health.

And lastly I want to give you something to delight your ears, the band is called Boyce Avenue and they're great. Here are two of their best songs : Boyce Avenue- Every Breath and Boyce Avenue - Briane (yeah, they're links so click them). They're 3 very talented brothers that make really good music and covers.

Well, until next time be sure to take care of yourself and stay safe.

First one and junk

This being the first post on my new blog I guess I have to write a little introduction to this blog and to tell you what I'm going to do with it.
Well, it goes like this, I'll try to post something everyday about just about everything: things I like, things that mattered to me in the news or things that just happen to pop up in my head. That being said let's get going.

The first thing that mattered to me in the news today is junk, yes.... junk, well, to be exact the junk donations that flooded the donations centers for the victims of the tornadoes that hit southern USA. It seams that people these days think that people who just lost everything need broken toys and used underwear, I mean who donates used underwear? who does that? I'll tell you who, people that think that charities and reliefs are for getting rid of junk, and to these people I say: "You're sick.". Please, don't donate things that you wouldn't wear or use yourself.

Anyway, jumping from that serious note to a more musical note you should check this great musician named David Choi, he's easily one of my favorites. Here's a link to one of his best songs: David Choi - That Girl

Well, 'till next time you be sure to take care of yourself and have a great day.
